Problems Infant Would Have With Hole In Heart Just How Dangerous Is Sewer Gas?

Just how dangerous is sewer gas? - problems infant would have with hole in heart

OK, my husband and I are renting a house and have 3 young children under 3 years. We have a complete bathroom up and down a small bathroom with only one bathroom. The toilet in the bathroom had some minor problems of the day when the owner came to see him washing. He could not understand the problem, so we had all the toilet in the bathroom.
He pressed a towel into the hose that was left open, and said he would be next week, either with a new bathroom or old sets. But what concerns me is the sewer gas. I've heard some of which can be deadly, and I've also heard that you should breathe in a very long time, if you yourself can make you sick.
With 2 small children and a baby in the house, I need to know the truth about the sewer gases. The bath I am talking about is only about 3 1 / 2 feet wide and 5 meters long, very small. So when I open the bathroom door, he met a bunch of sewer gases that could lead to our family who are sick? I am very concerned about it because the owner is notnothing until next week. He says when he went to the gas is just put a little more white on the hole smelled. But I am convinced that it would exhaust from the pipe. Please help!

Methane is an explosive substance. In a closed space, but can lead to suffocation occur before an explosive mixture. The rags are stuffed into the tube for the time that the owner go to the toilet enough. I've never seen someone who is injured by the gas methane, because it had a bathroom, even if they do not rag stuffed in the open tube. The smell is emitted, it will leave the room before they even come close to suffocation. Good luck!

In a closed room can be fatal.

That said, I recommend you take a rag and a plastic bag and tube opening tighter. Not because of gas leaks enough to kill you (in May of this year, but it is unlikely), but enough to escape the smell. And the smell, you know, if it is leaking or not. Saran Wrap works well for sealing the top of the pipe.

It is toxic and dangerous. It is an element of methane, they can explode. The sanitary code requires that a p-trap part (intestinal) your toilet, which is always full of water to prevent gas from entering the chamber. The area should be well ventilated, and you need to get to this new bathroom, or you need to install a bolt flange to flange solid ground. With small children I would immediately do so.
